Pre and Post Natal, Hatha and Yin Yoga Teacher and Pilates Teacher

Vanessa has been a yoga devotee for over 30 years and a teacher for 16 years. She originally trained in Hatha yoga and loves to teach all styles of yoga from a deeply nourishing yin practice, to a steadying, grounding hatha through to a fluid vinyasa flow that focuses on aligning breath with movement to free the mind, tone the body and enliven the spirit.

Vanessa is also a certified Pre-Natal and Post-Natal yoga instructor. Her practice cultivates a deeper connection for mums and their babies, instilling confidence in their ability to nourish, grow, birth and care for their babies and selves. It is a nurturing practice designed to relax, restore and strengthen the ever-changing pregnant body through breath work, toning, and postures.

In 2020 Vanessa also completed her Pilates reformer teacher training through Body Mind Life. As a pilates student Vanessa could see the physical benefits a regular practice brought to her body and how it also improved her yoga practice. Her align classes are terrific for beginners offering clear instruction and support for those newer to pilates who are still learning the essentials of the reformer and foundational exercises. Pilates flow classes will keep you strengthened, lengthened and energised with more challenging exercises and a motivating instructional style with some great sound tracks to move to!
